UBEB EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN COMMISSIONED MINI-BUSES FOR THE DEPT OF FCT-UBEB QUALITY ASSURANCE

The UBEB Ag Executive Chairman, Dr Alhassan Sule today commissioned and handed over 6 Mini-Buses to the Director Quality Assurance Department, Dr Emma Shuaibu Angibi.

In his address, the Ag Chairman expressed his joy which he said knows no bound on the commissioning of the mini buses as it will enhance the efficiency and capacity of evaluators at the Zonal level. Quality Assurance Dept he said is saddle with the responsibility of not only ensuring standardisation in the teaching and learning  process, but also to see that it is maintained.

Therefore to align with the mission statement of the department, Quality Assurance Evaluators at the headquarters and 8 Zonal offices must have a suitable, dependable and reliable means of mobility which they should use continously to monitor teaching and learning activities in the 676 primary and 206 JSS in the FCT.

Dr Alhassan Sule assured that under his watch, UBEB will continue to collaborative with the FCT Education Seretariat, LEA Secretaries, UBEC and other relevant stakeholders to ensure basic facilities are provided at the headquarters and Zonal Quality Assurance offices. 28 Mini computers and a public address system which was provided by FCT UBEB/UBEC was also commissioned.
The Director UBEC Quality Assurance, Mrs Helen Okoro in her speech commended UBEB Ag Executive Chairman for using the 2023 -2% matching grant of Quality Assurance Dept to execute this laudable project, she also assured them of the Executive Secretary UBEC,  Dr Hameed Bobboyi's interest in service delivery in terms of quality classrooms and general school management. Mrs Okoro added that the equipment will go a long way to enhance the skills of the Quality Assurance officers in FCT for effective evaluation of schools which will set standard and improvement in learners and teachers  performance.

The Director Quality Assurance Dept,  Dr Emma Shuaibu thanked the Ag Chairman Alhassan Sule for doing the honor of commissioning the Mini-Buses that will facilitate the functionality of evaluators in the dept of Quality Assurance, FCT-UBEB. He said the evaluators had depended on the use of motor-cycle and other means to reach difficult areas were basic schools are located to carry out there assignments, as the success of Nigeria education system is dependent on how well teaching and learning is monitored and supervised.

Dr Shuaibu went further to thank the Chairman for taking time to visit the 8 Zonal offices along with his management staff.  He appeal to the Executive Chairman to employ drivers for the buses which he added will lead to better maintenance. Dr Shuaibu thanked the LEA Secretaries for their presence and support always.  6 Zonal offices were given their buses while Karshi and Apo will get there buses at a later date.
