FCT UBEB NEW BOSS HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT OF THE BOARD

The Executive Chairman of FCT Universal Basic Education Board, Prof Abdullahi Mohammed held an interactive maiden meeting with the management team of the Board.

Highpoint of the meeting was a new blue print for the Board. In the plan, Prof. Mohammed vowed to ensure accountability and transparency in conducting the Board's activities, through effective  engagement with stakeholders, the media and staff.  Also, he promised to develop performance bench mark anchored on global best practice, ensure better accommodation for the staff of the Board among others strategies. Additionallu, Prof Mohammed called for more collaboration among Board members, staff and stakeholders to achieve the goals of FCT UBEB.

He thanked the outgoing acting Chairman  of the Board, Dr. Alhassan Sule who is now the Secretary of the Board for ensuring a smooth flow in the system before the coming of the new Board.  In his response, Dr. Sule congratulated the Executive Chairman and assured him that every member of management Board will give him their maximum support which will ensure that every child in FCT gets access to Basic Education.

The Director of Teacher's Professional Development, Mrs Jacqueline Amasike in her vote of thanks appreciated the Executive Chairman for the zest and passion to move the Board to a higher pedestal. She promised the Chairman that the synergy the management desires would be achieved by regular meetings.

The meeting was attended by all the management members.
