FCT UBEB BOSS BAGS AWARDS AS THE MOST PRUDENT SUBEB CHAIRMAN. 

It was a momentous ocassion in the Federal Ministry of Education Main Auditorium and in the Board as a whole as the indefatigable Chairman of FCT Universal Basic Education Board, Dr.Alhassan Sule was on the 19th of January, 2023 honoured as the most prudent State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman for North Central Geo-political zone. The award was presented to him by Dr.Isiaka Kolawole, Deputy Executive Secretary, Universal Basic Education Commission ( UBEC), at the National finals of the 62 ND Independence Anniversary of the President's Inter- Basic ( Primary ) Schools Debate Championship, organized by President's School Debate Nigeria in collaboration with UBEC. The debate and award ceremony took place at the Main Auditorium of the Federal Ministry of Education Headquarters, Abuja. The award was conferred on him for his outstanding achievements in basic education. In his welcome address , the National Coordinator, President's School Debate Nigeria, Elder Dare Oritu stated that debate has been deployed all over the world as a tool for dialogue between conflict groups. He underscored the importance of debate in the resolution of conflict among various diverse groups in Nigeria especially in an emergent democracy such as ours. He expressed his gratitude to the Executive Secretary,Universal Basic Education Commission, Dr. Hammid Bobboyi for collaborating with the President's School Debate and for his yearly support to host the Championship. He also thanked the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Senior Secondary Education Commission for their technical supports over the years through the provision of adjudicators for the Championship. He did not fail to appreciate the Executive Chairmen of SUBEBs for the efforts they made in participating actively in the national debate Championship. The President's National Debate had the topic: Crimilization for the Demand of Ransome. In his response, the ebullient Acting Executive Chairman of FCT UBE Board, Dr.Alhassan Sule appreciated the organizers and stressed that being a victim of Boko haram militants in the bush for four months, the solution is at our fingers tips; that is molding the characters of children through the classrooms. He appreciated the Honourable Minister of State, FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu for giving him the enabling environment to ensure that every child resident in FCT gets access to qualitative free Basic Education. The Chairman was given the honorarium of presenting awards to the winners of the Championship
