JSS NYANYA II SPORTS EVENT

SPORT: A UNIFYING FACTOR

In regards to the slogan which says “catch them young”, the sports arena of junior Secondary School, Nyanya II, came on line as the students demonstrated their sporting talents on the track. Various activities such as 100m, 200m and relay races were featured for both boys and girls.

The Guests including the representative of FCT Universal Basic Education Board Chairman, Prince Tanko Suleiman Abubakar (Galadiman Karshi), Board Member II who chaired the occasion were highly impressed with the organization of the program and performances of the Athletes. He pledged that FCT UBEB is giving full support to sporting activities to her schools and arrangement is ongoing to bring back school sport festivals to UBEB schools.

In the Principal’s speech, Mallam Yusuf Abdullahi stated that Sport today is the greatest unifying factor in human development because it breaks all form of barrier to teaching and learning process. At the end of the event, Blue house emerged first, Green house second and yellow house third positions respectively.  -Mohammed Sani Lawal
