FCT UBEB SCHOOLS SOAR HIGH

It was another heartwarming moment in the Board's conference room where the Junior Secondary School Gwarinpa 1 and JSS Gwarinpa Estate made a presentation of Prizes won in a Quiz Competition.

The two schools participated in a Quiz contest organized by the National Council for Museum and Monument, Abuja which saw to their emerging First and Second positions respectively in  the Competition. The schools were presented with the prizes ranging from two Artifacts of different faces depicting the rich Nigerian Cultural Heritage, Mathematical Sets and Dozens of Exercise books for their gallantries.

The Competition was organized  for both public and private Junior Secondary Schools in the Federal Capital Territory.  While presenting the Prizes to the acting Executive Chairman, the Principal of JSS Gwarinpa I, Mr. Okoro Emenike Anyim  whose school came first in the contest stated that the victory for his school was a grand ocassion that will not be forgotten. He disclosed that proper grooming of Learners is the key to achieving the feat and that he will do what it takes for the students to continue excelling.

In his response, the elated Acting Executive Chairman of the Board,Dr. Alhassan Sule, stated that the Learners success in the Competition was expected because he has confidence in the  Teachers. He affirmed that his joy knew no bounds as no week passes without the  schools winning in one competition or another. The Chairman pointed out that All over the world , Nigerians are excelling and the students if given the opportunity will show capacity. According to him “ We only pride ourselves that FCT will always be a reference point” the Acting Chairman enthused.

He urged the students to maintain the tempo and promised  he will not relent in guiding and supporting them.

The Director, Junior Secondary School at the Board, Hajia Ramatu Nusa in her  presentation said the children are towing the steps of the Executive Chairman who recently was awarded with the most Prudent State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman, North Central Geopolitical Zone.

She added that victory of the students is not unrelated to the support the schools are getting from the Acting Chairman.

The Principal of Gwarinpa Estate Junior Secondary School , Mrs Zainab Hassan led her school team to the Board for the presentation.
